This Privacy Statement explains how Water Software Solutions Ltd, trading as Watercalcs (we, us, our), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. By using the Service you agree to this statement.
2. Information we collect
We may collect:
- contact and account information you give us, such as your name and email address, when you create a Premium account or join our waitlist;
- payment information, which is collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe — we do not store your full card details; and
- technical and usage information collected automatically when you use the site, such as device and browser information, IP address, and the pages or tools used, including through cookies and similar technologies.
You do not need to provide personal information to use the free calculators.
3. How and why we use your information
We use personal information to:
- provide and operate the Service;
- create and manage accounts and subscriptions;
- process payments;
- respond to enquiries and send service or waitlist communications;
- improve and secure the Service; and
- meet our legal obligations.
We will only use it for the purposes for which it was collected, related purposes you would reasonably expect, or as otherwise permitted by law.
4. Disclosure
We may disclose personal information to third-party providers who help us run the Service — for example, hosting, authentication, database, payment, analytics, and email providers. Some of these providers, and the servers on which information is stored, are located outside New Zealand (including in the United States). We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, including by using reputable service providers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
